Gallery Representation

La Luna Gallery

La Luna Gallery has selected several of my sculptures for the their art gallery. 

La Luna Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of the Palisades neighborhood of Washington, D.C.  La Luna Gallery represents artists from around the United States and offers to bring a bit of modern art to the area. I  placed three large sculptures in the front sculpture garden and two small sculptures indoors. I am very excited to be part of this gallery.

The Ice House Gallery

My art has been juried into the Ice House Artist Co-op located in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. More than 20 local artists showcase their work at the Ice House. See the list of artists, directions and happenings at the Ice House Artist Co-op or the Morgan Arts Council.

North Capitol Main Street

The North Capitol Main Street hosted a sculpture walk in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington, DC  August 1 - 30, 2011. Located along 1st NW between Florida and Rhode Island Avenues.

Artomatic Takes Flight, March 3 though June 25, 2011

Gallery Walk at Reagan National Airport Historic Terminal A lobby as part of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. The exhibit showcased an un-juried selection of work by 81 artists in Washington DC's creative community. I had two small sculptures during the exhibit, Head Jester and Firebox #1.

Center Pieces, Friday January 7 though January 30, 2011

Center Pieces featured creative works by regional artists and fine craftspeople in a variety of media. Encouraged to draw upon their own personal interpretation of “center pieces,” artists have produced works ranging from sculptural pieces for the table, art jewelry as the focal point of apparel, to works that explore and evoke the concept of physical or spiritual centering and features at the center of a community.

My sculpture, "To Catch A Dream ," received the “Friends Favorite” Award at the Center Pieces Exhibit at the Franklin Park Arts Center in Purcellville, VA. 


North Capitol Main Street

The Pink Line Project and the North Capitol Main Street hosted a sculpture walk in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington DC which ran August 1 - 30, 2009. Located along 1st NW between Florida and Rhode Island Avenues. Pick up a map at Big Bear Cafe or Windows Cafe.

ARTOMATIC 2009 (www.artomatic.org), May 29 through July 5, 2009

Always a crazy and fun experience. I had eight sculptures for this event which took place in a new building right next to the Nationals Ball Park located at 55 M Street, S.E. (at the corner with Half Street), Washington, DC 2003. In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Artomatic was located in Washington, D.C.’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood.


All About Metal

A group art show of artists across the country at the Ice House in Berkeley Springs, WV, is all about metal. Sculpture, forged iron and other metals arts were on display. June 12 - July 19, 2009


Light In October V, Saturday October 18, 2008.

Held in the Barcroft Neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia,  eight local artists hosted an incredible one night show offering their fine art for sale.  Returning to my old neighborhood for a repeat one day show like no other. Art Romp 20: The Grand Finale, Friday September 7, Warehouse Gallery

Sad to say one of the coolest art places in the DC area will be closing down. But not without having an Art Romp to end all Art Romps! Many repeat artists from past events. I had one wall hanging and two floor pieces at this Art Romp 20. Work was on display from 100 artists from all the years of Art Romps. www.warehousetheater.com


All About Metal

A group art show at the Ice House in Berkeley Springs, WV, is all about metal. Sculpture, forged iron and other metals arts were on display from artists throughout the region. I had three new pieces in this show as well as my usual sculptures in the artists' coop gallery at the Ice House. Held July 6 - August 12, 2007.


ARTOMATIC 2007 was held April 13 - May 20, 2007 at 2121 Crystal Drive, Arlington, Va.

Not All Things Are Rusty. A Spring artist retreat in West Virginia resulted in several exciting new sculptures created just for this Artomatic event. Nine sculptures were on display, some from rusted steel and a few from new steel.  I created several wall hangings for those with no outdoor space or want to expand their collection of Peter Wood sculptures to the indoors.

Artomatic Details: Artomatic is an eclectic, engaging...and occasionally even eye-popping...arts extravaganza held regularly since 1999. Artomatic is the region's one-of-a-kind multimedia art featuring more than 600 regional artists and performers. This free five-week event, held April 13-May 20, featured nearly 90,000 square feet of paintings, sculptures, photography and other creative work. http://www.artomatic.org/


Art at the Mill, April 29 through May 13, 2007

Hosted by the Clarke County Historical Association at the Burwell-Morgan Mill in Millwood, Virginia. This is a juried show and sale of incredible art from the region.  More information: Art at the Milll


Brookside Gardens 2007 Sculpture Show

For the eighth year in the row, I was selected to be in the Brookside Gardens Conservatory Sculpture Show. It opened January 20th and ran through April 15, 2007.

Sculptures at Garden Architects in Annapolis Maryland

I did have several sculptures available at Garden Architects in Annapolis, Maryland.  Currently I have not had the inventory to keep them supplied with new work. Sculpture at Pearmund Cellars Winery

Currently, I have moved the sculptures from the winery, but they soon will return. Still worth the trip to the winery (www.pearmundcellars.com).


FLORA at the United States Botanic Garden

FLORA was a sculpture exhibition at the U.S. Botanic Garden celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Washington Sculpture Group. Located at the foot of the U.S. Capital, this exciting juried exhibition ran from March 27 though April 26, 2004.  Cut Back was selected for this show and sold during the opening reception.

From the Juror's Statement: "There is a delicious whimsy in many works of art (Andrew Yff's Eight, Donna McCullough's Memory Garden, Bonnie Shelor's April Showers, Peter Wood's Cut Back). Another appealing aspect of the show is the clever use of materials and found objects."


The Ellipse Arts Center's Summer Salon 2003

This was a non-Juried show open to all artists living, working or maintaining a studio in Arlington.  I had one piece in this show. It ran from June 24 through August 16, 2003. The crowded opening reception was held Tuesday, June 24.


Element - Inaugural Exhibition and Sale

A six week long, juried celebration of the arts for the new Falls Church City Arts Center. The show included art from seven local artists. I had seven sculptures in this show, including a newly created water feature. This was a very exciting exhibition to kick off the new Falls Church City Center for the Arts.


Summer Salon 2002

Sitting With Papa was in the Summer Salon 2002 at the Arlington Ellipse Arts Center from July 23 through August 24, 2002. This show was a juried exhibition of sculpture, photography and fine craft from artists living or working in Arlington, VA.


All Dolled Up

Dress Up was in the traveling show "All Dolled Up." The show started at the Suffolk Museum, April 19 through May 15. Then opened at the Arlington Ellipse Arts Center from May 21 through July 26. This show was an invitational exhibition of sculpture, photography and fine craft inspired by shapes and symbolism of dolls.


The Ellipse Arts Center's Summer Salon 2001

This was a non-juried show open to all artists living, working or maintaining a studio in Arlington.  I had one piece in this show called Wallflower which sold! The show ran from June 26 through August 11, 2001.


Arlington Arts Center's 2001 All Media Exhibition

I had two sculptures in this show. One which is a collection of four pieces commissioned by John Harpold.  The sculptures were mounted outside the Arts Center. This exhibition was curated by Trinkett Clark and ran from April 21 through May 18, 2001.

Winter Essence Show

The Winter Essence was located at the Crossings in Takoma Park, Maryland. I had two sculptures, Snowswan and Snowdrop, as part of this show located on the grounds of Crossings. Crossings is an alternative healing center.

Man on 7th Street

Man was on display at the DC United Sculpture Park from August 2000 until April 2001. It was an honor to have one of my sculptures in park with some of Washington's most fascinating sculptors. The park was located near the corner of 7th & and E Sts. NW, Washington, D.C.  DC United Sculpture Park was founded by Robert T. Cole, local metal sculptor, with the help of local sculptors, Chas Colburn and Randy Jewart, in October of 1997. The park was closed so yet another building could go up!


Arlington County Central Library

I had 10 sculptures displayed at the Arlington County Central Library on Quincy Street during the month of October, 2000. I would like to express my appreciation to the Arlington Gay and Lesbian Alliance for sponsoring my art for this show during Gay History Month.


Sculpture Party - A One Man Show

On March 11, 2000, I rented the 1019 Studio and set up 30 sculptures to be enjoyed by many. Over 70 people attended the show.


Residency at the Vermont Studio Center!

I spent four weeks in 2000, learning more about creating metal sculptures. I had lots of studio time and created over 25 sculptures.  The admission in the artist residency was based on 20 slides depicting my work. They received over 400 applications. I received a partial scholarship and a grant. VSC is located in Johnson, Vermont which is about an hour from Burlington, VT
