Art Romp 20:
The Grand Finale
Warehouse
Gallery
|
 |
Sad to say one
of the coolest art places in the DC area will be closing
down. But not
without having an Art Romp to end all Art Romps! Many repeat artists
from past events. I had one wall hanging and
two floor pieces at this Art Romp 20. Work
was on display from 100 artists from all the years of Art Romps.

 | ARTOMATIC 2007 |
|
| Not All Things Are Rusty.
A Spring artist retreat in West Virginia resulted in several exciting new sculptures
created just for this Artomatic event. Nine sculptures were on display, some from rusted
steel and a few from new steel. Two sculptures sold during the event. |

|
 |
I created several wall
hangings for those with no outdoor space or want to expand their collection of Peter Wood
sculptures to the indoors. I have ventured into new materials and techniques . |

 | FLORA at the United
States Botanic Garden
 | FLORA was a
sculpture exhibition at the U.S. Botanic Garden celebrating the 20th anniversary of the
Washington Sculpture Group. Located at the foot of the U.S. Capital, this exciting juried
exhibition ran from March 27 though April 26, 2004. Cut Back was selected for this show and sold
during the opening reception.
|
 | From the
Juror's Statement: "There
is a delicious whimsy in many works of art (Andrew Yff's Eight, Donna McCullough's Memory
Garden, Bonnie Shelor's April Showers, Peter Wood's Cut Back). Another appealing aspect of
the show is the clever use of materials and found objects."
