Artomatic was an eclectic, engaging...and occasionally even eye-popping...arts
extravaganza held regularly since 1999. Artomatic is the region's
one-of-a-kind multimedia art featured hundreds of regional artists and
performers. This event will featured paintings, sculptures, photography and
other creative work.

ARTOMATIC 2007: Not All Things Are Rusty.

A Spring artist retreat in West Virginia resulted in several exciting new sculptures created just for this Artomatic event. Nine sculptures will be on display, some from rusted steel and a few from new steel. There are several wall hangings for those of you with no outdoor space or for those who want to expand their collection of Peter Wood sculptures to the indoors. I have ventured into new materials and techniques that you need to see in person.

Here is what was at Art-O-Matic 2002.

Group Showing Here are the five sculptures that will be on display during Art-O-Matic. Each sculpture has been rusted and then coated with clear gloss enamel.

Oblio Oblio. Perfect for the garden as a gentle breeze will create great movement. Give this a little push when you visit.

FigureheadFigurehead. Originally designed as a set of three pieces, this one served as the figurehead for the group. Standing alone you still can see that this sculpture is in charge.

Man Man.Now sealed with clear gloss enamel, this sculpture is very impressive at over 6 feet tall!

Dishing It Out Dishing It Out.This sculpture was created using old plow discs. It may no longer be just the farmer's wife that is dishing it out.

The Georgetowner Newspaper covered Art-O-Matic 2000  with a picture of one of my sculptures! Check out the article in the Georgetowner.
