Come on in to Light In October!

til then.JPG (21515 bytes) I created this series using discs from an old farm plow. The raw material to create these pieces has probably turned over thousands of acres of earth to give rise to new crops each spring. Keeping the strong connection to the earth, I have given this worn out machinery new life and inspiration.

My inspiration is the garden. As a metal sculptor, I like to create art with a warm and rusted finish. My sculptures often have a fluid motion and many are designed to move in the breeze when placed in the garden. Water, soil, wind, plants and creatures together evoke a unique feeling. Although I can not recreate this feeling, I hope to join in with nature’s song to give joy to those that dwell in the garden.
