Series of Plow Discs

Sometime time ago I created a series sculptures from agricultural plow discs. I have returned to the creation process going beyond the basic disc. Here are a few samples from the new series:

Captured Dreams

This sculpture has bits of images that would be seen in a series of dreams that are assembled at once and held tight. Much like my dreams that are fragments that I try to hold onto when I first wake.

Snap Dragon

The welding torch was constantly snapping and popping as I created this sculpture, breathing fire in every direction. However, the end result did seem to be more flower-like.

Whirl Wind

This disc has several intense indentations swirling amongst the images. Through the eye of the disc is yet another swirling image. This sculpture's unique holder is in itself sculpture. The holder is shown below.
